Forskargrupp

The LaSE research group is based at the Law Department, School of Businnes, Economics and Law, University of Gothenburg. The group has broad competencies in the fields of Swedish, European and international law.

The group is led by Per Cramér, professor of international law and holds the Jean Monnet Chair in European Integration Law. Cramér has spent much of his research with legal aspects of security- and defence on domestic, regional and global level, as well as mutual trust between states. Since 2010 he is Dean for the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg.

Associate Professor Sari Kouvo’s research has focused on human rights, women, peache and security, and crisis management. She is one Finland’s experts in the EU vetenskapliga verksamhet har fokuserat på mänskliga fri- och rättigheter, kvinnor, fred och säkerhet, samt krishantering. Hon är en av Finlands experter i European Civil Protection Pool (ECPP) and has 15 years of experience from EU crisis management, European External Action Service, and field presence in Afghanistan.

Associate Professor Andreas Moberg have researched EU:s foreign releations in general and how the EU uses different instruments to spread human rights, democracy, and rule of law principles. He has also focused on constitutional aspects of the EU-cooperation, and the bilateral relations that arises when EU member states cooperate.

Associate Professor Joachim Åhman have mainly done research concering decision making in international organisations and the relationship between domestic and internatioal law. He has also been a guest researcher at Columbia University.

Dr Tormod Otter Johansen’s research concerns public law with a focus on public administration, constitutional aspects and legal theory. His doctoral thesis focused on the relation between exercise of public authority and the concrete acitivity of public agencies.
